I tried to install SQL Server on my XP Pro computer and failed with the
message - 'SQL Computer Manager cannot connect to WMI provider used for
management of SQL Server Service, and client and server configuration, Class
not registered (Ox80040154)' in the Computer Manager (local)>Services and
Applications>SQL Computer Manager description.
When I check properties of the Computer Manager (local) in Computer Manager
it says "Registered to Unidentified" and dialog pops up that says Interface:
Class not registered.
Apparantly the registry settings for the Computer Manager are bad.
How can I correct this problem ? Must I completely reinstall XP?
