I am running win 2K pro. I got the blaster and welchia viruses. I installed
a firewall and next step is to update windows. It gets through about half
way and when downloading backup files for regestry I get an error of
winlogon.exe. It then locks up my machine. I have removed all viruses and
run norton anti-virus 2003, all say things are good. I read one of the posts
and it says to run a dskchk to scan files. How is this done? I need to get
rid of this corrupted file to continue.

Usually an ungraceful shutdown will force a disk scan at next start up. I would
not be surprised it you need to do a reinstall however after having multiple
iruses. -- Steve
