computer keeps turning itself on

I installed the xp home upgrade to my computer and ever
since it starts itself up after I have logged off and
shut it down. What can I do to stop this?

Check your bios settings. You probably have it boot up when the phone rings
(Wake on ring) or with usb/network activity.

Go into your BIOS and look for a feature called Wake On LAN, Wake On Ring,
or something similar. Disable this feature. With it enabled, your computer
will turn on when the phone rings.
