Computer keeps freezing up

After a certain amount of time, my computer will almost
certainly freeze up. I canty move the mouse, i cant ctrl-
alt-del, i have to reset. Its very annoying. Sometimes,
it hangs up even before it boots up windows, others, it
doesnt freeze until 15-30 minutes have passed. Any ideas
on what might be wrong?

click the following :
start - run - (uunder the open field type in ) msconfig -
hit ok
a windows called system configuration utility shall come
up.
under the general tab choose the option that
reads "selective startup" and under that uncheck the
option that reads "load startup group items" - once done
hit apply and hit close and you shall be prompted to
restart the comp.Please do that....
it should do the job,
