computer freezes

my computer freezes up at random times, sometimes shutsoff and turns right
back on by its self, i have noticed this since i purchased a wireless mouse
which plugs into a USB port on the front of my pc. does plugging and
unplugging the mouse affect the computer? if not anyother options what might
be causing the freez up's????
 
Open event viewer,locate an error/warning for the time the pc shutdown etc,
get the specifics...
 
If you have noticed this after installing your USB mouse i would suggest you
have a driver issue. Check for a driver update via device manager or
manufacturers website.
