Computer Freezes When IE is opened

Hey I have windows XP pro, and every time i open internet explorer my
computer freezes and i have to restart it. I have run antispyware and all
that good stuff and deleted anything found but still get the same result of a
frozen computer. Any suggestions?

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW (must
have setup CD available)
