computer dosen't reconize cd player

(e-mail address removed) hi group! suddenly my computer dosen't reconize my cd
player i get an error message stating that ther is no cd player connected to
my computer. i can not start the player no can i load it. it won't even
open! please help! nothing in my help files nor my operator's manual has
worked.....
 
You'd better open up the computer case and make sure the power plug is
installed properly on the back of the unit.
