others.
I was told the program is conflicting with another and i need to
reconfigure my hard drive. How do i do this?

perform a repair installtion...
you may need to re-apply windows updates...

next get a refund on Norton...

there are a number of free AV programs out there such as free-av, avast or
AVG
that are better than Norton

The same thing happened to me, took me days to fix my computer. And I did
get a refund from Norton. I downloaded 2006 virus protection and my sys went
to 100% cpu and froze on me solid. Norton as I said was kind enough to
refund my money.
