I have a 'Tiny' scanner and when I plug it into my laptop (about 3 years old
with Windows XP) it recognises it is a scanner but can't use it in any way
because I have no disc to accompany the scanner (with drivers etc). Does
anyone know how I can get my laptop to be able to use the scanner?
Thanks.

You'll have to visit the web site of the manufacturer of
your scanner, search for the correct Windows XP drivers
or software, download and install them.

Have you checked the Tiny website for XP compatible drivers?

If the scanner is not WIA compliant, you could try using Paint or other
image software to Acquire Image (Twain source). "Acquire Image" should be a
menu item. Check the program's help file for more info on using this
feature.
