Computer can't browse network after Firewall change

I have a Win2000 SP4 computer which cannot browse the
network. It happened after I changed the firewall box. We
used to connect to the internet throught a CISCO PIX but
I had to replace it with a Watchguard SOHO for testing
purposes. There are 4 computers on the inside of the
SOHO; 3 XP PRO Sp1 machines and the Win2k SP4 computer.
The XP machines are all working find. The Win2k machine,
however, cannot browse the local network neighbourhood.
It is able to access the internet though. Can anyone
suggest a reason for this or a possible solution?

Have you compared network settings between the XP and 2K computers to see
what may be different?

It's in one of our other offices so I don't have direct
access but I did ask the user to check. As far as I know,
all machines have TCP/IP installed as the only protocol.
Since they are all able to access the internet I thought
that maybe the problem lay with which computer is trying
to hold the Master Browser list but my investigations
down that road proved fruitless. I've found a few
instances of the same problem by using Google but most of
them seemed to stem from users installing SP4. This
computer has had SP4 installed since it was released. As
the problem only manifested itself sfter the firewall
switch I don't think this is the issue. The firewall is
set to its most basic configuration and is used as the
DHCP. I have asked the user to rejoin his 2000 computer
to the office workgroup but that didn't work either.

Browsing requires NetBIOS name resolution, usually via a WINS or
broadcast. It's a little obvious, but the new firewall isn't allowing
or rebroadcasting what the old one did, so you need to change that
behavior. Start with the documentation and look for NetBIOS. Your
firewall logs may help.
