Computer Boot Up Freeze

Hi:
Could you please tell me how to identify the problem, my computer won’t be
able to logon the Windows XP automatically. I see the Windows OS welcome
screen or Wallpaper screen only.
The root problem has not identified yet. but I found a workaround solution.
Disable the special software's service by MSCONFIG
Did you know how to identify the service conflic with which one software or
application?
 
Have you tried to reinstall your OS again? Cos I do face this issues when my
OS keep on freezing for several times. Gd luck.

What do you mean by "special software's service". How is it described in
msconfig?
