Compressing Files

I would like to compress a folder, but nothing suggested
in the Help system works. For example, it says I can
create a compressed folder by "right-clicking the desktop
pointing to New, and then clicking Compressed (zipped)
Folder." When I try this, I don't see the option for
Compressed Folder--I just see Folder and ShortCut. (Same
thing happens when I open the folder and look at the File
menu and point at New.) What am I missing?

The partition/drive must be formatted as NTFS to utilize the NTFS
compression!

Click Start, Run and enter REGSVR32 ZIPFLDR.DLL This command
re-registers XP's built in ZIP features.

Thanks. That did the trick.
