compressing a floppy disk

Hi, my grandson used to be able to compress a floppy disk
so it would hold more files. That was in WinME...he now
has XP and there doesnt appear to be any way to do that in
the XP program. Can anyone help me?

Drivespace isn't supported in Windows XP.
