Component Resources, VSGuid etc

Hello,

I am trying to make a component of the latest EloTouch Driver for
touchscreens. Some older ones are on xpefiles, but do not have the
functionality i need.

I have captured the file and registry information, and made the component,
but it does not work, sadly. The one from xpefiles has resources in its
configuration, which mine does not have. How do i track these, add them, know
what to add, settings etc?

Cheers,
Aaron

Did you try creating the component by importing the INF file? The import
process can help automate finding a lot of those details from your INF.

Also - I may be wrong on this, but I thought Elo was keeping their website
up-to-date with XPE components for their drivers. I haven't looked in a few
months, but I thought I remember being impressed.

Hi,

I have tried the inf, but the setup program seems to do alot more. The
version i am using is now on elotouch (i hadnt realised).

I need version sw500849
This supports starting and stopping the touch software as a service, which
allows me to configure the machines touchscreen from a ramboot, by storing
the correct config in a file named by the machines macaddress.

If i can get this component to install, it cuts apr 70MB from my image,
which im sure you will all agree is a good thing :), otherwise im stuck with
the curse of xp bloatware ...

On http://www.elotouch.com/support/dnld.asp

it is http://www.elotouch.com/support/dnldlicense.asp?file=sw500849.exe

If someone could talk me through getting this to work, or even make the
component, i would be eternally grateful, and father their children if they
are female, buy them a beer other wise.

Cheers
Aaron
