COMPLETELY uninstalling programs

I just recently installed a program. I adjusted the
settings of it, and one setting that I changed causes it
to crash when I active one part of the program. In any
case, after I uninstal it, when I reinstal it, it comes
back with all of my original settings. I used the control
panel to uninstal it, an uninstaller program, and the
program itself. Nothing completely removes it. If anyones
got an Idea as to how I can totally get rid of it, feel
free to tell me. Oh, I should mention, a friend of mine
told me something about deleting/changing the registry
settings. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Hi Andrew,

Have you tried uninstalling the program, then running System Restore and
going back to a date that predates the initial installation?

Uninstall it, then use System Restore (in Start - All Programs -
Accessories - System Tools ) to go back to a restore point made before
you first installed it. That will leave no references to it in the
registry, and none of the system files it may have changed in the
Windows folder, though it might leave an odd file or two in its own
folder (delete them)
