Only if it's running when the program is installed. Otherwise there's
no way to know which files were installed by which program. Run Total
Uninstall, then install the program again. If it's like most bad
installations, it'll reinstall those files over the existing ones.
Then TU can rip them out.
ISTR there was a bolt-on freeware utility to Total Install (or to a
program like it) which used the data gathered and it removed the changes
which had been made.
Can't recall it's name.

version in the lower left hand corner of the main window, so technically
it's PROmotionware, but I can live with this) of Total ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Data gathered when? A lot of installation programs don't gather any
data at the time of installation.
I meant the data was that which was gathered by Total Uninstall or
InCtrl5 or one of those apps.

Total Uninstall is the one of the most important tools jor me. I don't
fire up a new PC without installing a copy of it.

Thanks BoB! Some real fine tips there. And you're right, the last truly
freeware version of the program was 2.34. I still have a copy of the
setup file for that version. The improvements over 2.34 in 2.35 are the
following:
Version 2.35
! Crash while scanning some systems
! Wrong line added in the uninstall log that a delete file operation
succeded
but, in fact, that operation was not done in that phase because the
file was shared
! Memory leaks removed
+ New translations added
* Updated program home page
but otherwise they're almost the same except for that link to the site
where now there's only a $ware version. The history at that page starts
at version 3.
Maybe I should modify my signature file to say "obnoxious
PROmotionware". I don't think that link is too big a deal.
