Since getting Vista Ultimate 32-bit, I've made regular System backups onto
an external HDD. I've restored my PC a few times using these backups with no
problem at all. When I tried to restore a backup yesterday, Windows gives an
error 'an internal error occured while enumerating backup sets' after the
'scanning for backup discs' phase. As a result, there are no backups
available to restore. I've used the same external HDD every time, and I even
created a new backup after re-formatting the backup HDD. The backup always
appears to complete successfully (the message says so after creating the
backup).
I've made absolutely no changes to the HDDs or anything but suddenly I
cannot restore backups and I'm very annoyed!
Any ideas what's gone wrong? Even a very old backup I made on my internal
HDD does not get found.
