compatibilty with Vista

I just purchased a laptop with Vista. I own MS Works Suite 2005 and would
like to know if this will be compatible with Vista before I try to load it.

I would doubt it, check also that your laptop didnt come with Works or an
Office trial
The Works group might be the place to ask

It should be no problem as I originally installed Works 2002 on mine. All I
got was a warning that it was almost obsolete when I activated it. You may
have issues with some aspects of Works, such as Money etc. but there are
updates that will be offered when you set Windows Update to offer updates
for other products via Microsoft Update. (See Windows Update/Change
Settings.

There is the opportunity to update Works to version 8.5, once it's installed
of course, here:
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/international/Update_1001.mspx
It's a bit involved, just follow the instructions carefully. You'll see
last dates for the offer there, ignore that as it seems to work anyway.
You might want to "Save" the download somewhere for future reference.

Doubtful. If you want a half decent Word Processor, download Open Office
from here..

Thank you Peter,

I took your advice and installed Works Suite 2005. Walla no problems as of
yet...I did receive 2 updates which I installed without incident.
