Does anyone know if Vista is compatible with Office 2000. I want to get a
new computer with Vista but do not want to get updated Office
 
Will work as long as you get the updates for it, except for a prob with
Outlook.
Outlook will not remember your email account passwords.
You have to re-enter them each time you open your email.

2003 and later works fine, with updates.

You can look on the Microsoft Office website to be sure. But, yes, Office
2000 will run on Vista. Be sure to get all the updates for Office 2000 that
are available.
