Compatibility Problems

I just got a Vista Home Premium, and I tried to install a CD from previous
version of windows, but it says that it's not compatible. Then I checked
online to see what I can do to make it compatible, and it says to use the
compatibility wizard in the control panel. However, I can't find the wizard
anywhere, and it doesn't turn up in search results.
