Compatibility Issues with MS XP Prof SP2

Hi,

My new computer has MS XP Prof SP2 and I am having difficulty installing a
couple of key pieces of software I need to install. For instance I tried to
install the SAP front end SAPGui and also MS Office Prof 2003. But had
significant problems installing both. I am actually wandering whether it
would be better to install an operating system without SP2. The reason I say
this is becuase I can easily install both pieces of software on another
computer I have which has MS XP Home but without SP2.

Thanks for your help with this on how to fix these issues. Also any
comments on whether its better to go with MS XP Home without SP2 or with MS
Win 2000 would be gratefully received.

What problems are you getting with Office 2003? I've just done a clean
install of XP Pro, then installed SP2 and then installed Office 2003
with no problems at all.

Windows XP runs just fine with SP2 installed. You'll have
to supply some detailed information, including any error
messages, in order for someone to recommend a troubleshooting
strategy.
