Compatibility Issue w/ Symantec's AV 8.1 Corp

Anti-Spyware beta seems like a solid product so far. The
only issue that I have is in regards to my AV software.
I am not entirely certain, but I believe the System agent
is blocking my AV from updating properly. (i.e. the Def
files are not properly loaded after the are downloaded.)
Time stood still (to the day) for my test machine running
SAV 8.1 and Anti-Spyware, whereas all other PCs (sans
Anti-Spyware) continued to update the AV properly.

This requires further investigation, but see no other
likely cause.

UPDATE<<
I uninstalled Symatec AV 8.1, rebooted, Re-installed....
The system agent was indeed attempting to block the AV
client from updating the Def files. The system agent
incorrectly identified the 'Live Update' portion of the
client as "Unknown" and asked for approval. After
approval it it would seem that the process will
be 'Allowed' to update. The fix is to remove the AV
client and re-install it. The Anti-Spyware client needs
to be updated to recognize SAV 8.1 as an existing and
allowed and safe process. I wonder how many other AV
products are suffering the same fate and are yet to be
recognized?

this is why Microsoft Antispyware should have a EXLUSIONS
features which they don't have yet. you should ask for
this feature to avoid this problem in the future.
