Is there a way (other than the scroll lock) to compare documents? Is there
something that can go through two documents and highlight what is different
automatically?

Thanks,
Trish

Yes, in versions up to Word 2003 there's a Compare command on the Tools
menu. In Word 2007 it's on the Review ribbon.

You didn't say what version of Word but in Word 2002 it's:

1. Open the first document
2. Click on "Tools > Compare and merge documents"
3. Navigate to the other document. Click on "Compare".
4. You get a new document with the two compared, which you should save
and/or print out.

What does Scroll Lock have to do with any of this?
