comparing documents in word 2007

If I want to tile two open documents vertically to compare one against the
other, is there a way that i can lock the scroll bars so that when I scroll
one document they both scroll?

After you select the option to compare views, and set it to vertical, I can
actually see a button directly beneath the "View Side by Side" button, that
allows you to lock and unlock the scrollbars.
