Company Logo Effects

I'm sort of new to this - am currently in training. I have our company logo
in jpg format. The current text effect is a chrome color. With the software
I created this in, it allows me to set my logo "in motion" in any direction I
specify and to record it's movements in an avi file. Because of the chrome
color and lighting, you can imagine the shimmering effects I'm getting.

So, you can probably guess my next question....I'm trying to insert this
logo in it's avi format so it will shimmer but I'm having trouble. First, I
need this logo to be present and in motion when my web site comes up. I know
how to link motion files to sub-pages but this is different. Thanks in

It can't be done like that. In order to see the motion you'd have to insert
it as a movie clip (Windows Media Player or QuickTime) and then it's not
going to look like a log it's going to look like a video player that you
have to start to see it. You're better off searching for software that
makes animated GIF files and using that instead or making it into FLASH so
that it plays right away, assuming the user has FLASH installed.
