No, Ghost 9 is the latest version after Ghost 2003. It is, I believe,
PowerQuest's Drive Image repackaged under the Ghost name with activation
added, and with some enhancements such as allowing incremental backups.
I have not used the Ghost prodcuts - I had Drive Image 7 from
PowerQuest before they were bought out.

That is correct. Ghost 2003 = Old Ghost program. Ghost 9 is based on
PowerQuest's DriveImage. I still prefer old Ghost. Fast and small (DOS
version), but then I only back up partitions as images and restore
images from boot disks/discs.

Re fire- most of damage will be from water but if u
have 1 u'll be too busy getting every1 out, including
pets, to mess with ur PC. Fireman r gonna b hustling u
out 2 & will NOT let u back in.

All men in my family were Phila firemen going back 3
generations.

I do agree tho with ur general plan & am now switching
from Internal hidden to external removed HD using same
HD & IDE-USB2 box($22).

Any advise is my attempt to contribute more than I have received but I can only assure you that it works on my PC. GOOD LUCK.
