communication problem between xp and windows 98

hi,
i am using windows 2003 domain network with clients winxp pro and win 98
my win98 machines can see the xp machines but can not access it, it's
showing error 'logon server not found' but xp machines can access windows 98
machines, please tell me the solution

Sounds like the Win98 user account is not logging onto the domain. Try:

1. On the Win98 machines, make sure that Client for MS Networks is
configured to log onto an NT domain. Use the NetBIOS name of your domain -
ie. NetBIOS name of mydomain.com = mydomain.

2. If you have not done so, install the dsclient on the Win98 machines.

3. Make sure that the XP machines are joined to the domain and that all
machines are configured to use only your DC for DNS.

thanx doug,
i ma sure all machines are connected to domain, they can access server and
shared folders which are stored on server but but client to client
communication are not happening (only 98 to xp) and what is dsclient from
where i can install it
