command line options / group policy

Hi,
i am doing some testing installing Defender from GP. I can push the app out
from GP no problems but i would like it to be installed a bit quieter. For
example currently when it is first installed the user is presented with the
initial screen etc. Is there any command line options i can use to fully
automate the setup and install?

I have installed the defender.adm template which helps with some post
install settings but not the initial install.

Thanks - Ian.

check the options for msiexec

that is what actually does the install (except on Vista?) and has relevant
command line options.

Windows Defender is not designed for most networks where GP is in use--far
better would be Microsoft Forefront Client Security.

Cheers Bill i'll check those options out.

If it's not designed for GP usage why provide the .adm template? ;)
