but why would a spammer want everyone to go to Bill's homepage? what do
they get from it? "Hey look, I made everyone think I was Bill Gates and
sent them to his home page! HaHa!"

None of it makes sense. Why would Gates do this, much less from an IP in
the UK. Why would a spammer do it and not link to something spammy?

My guess is it's just some random moron that wanted to fake being BillG,
but didn't realize we could all see the IP.
