COM+ Event Problem with boot

T

thedeke2000

When I boot to XP Pro I get the XP splash screen and the after a few
seconds I get a Blue Error Screen that comes and goes so fast that I
cannot read waht it says... But then the system reboots and asks me
to enter to safe mode. When I do I see in Advanced System Info...

Here is what I get in the Adv Syst info Error Log

EventSyste m
The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal
processing. HRESULT was 8007043C from line 44 of
d:\nt\com\com1x\src\events\tie r1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

then VSS
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine
CoCreateInstance. hr = 0x80040206.

How to troubleshoot and fix this?

Hi,

The two event logs are unrelated with your problem. These two event
logs will appear each time the machine boots up in Safe Mode.

There is too little information to determine what is the actual cause
of the sudden reboot. It migth be a hardware issue or a bad driver...
(just a guess).

Thanks, Adi
