Columns

I have two columns on my page, the left's width is shorter than the right's.
I want to be able to access the right hand column but when I click that side,
it doesn't do anything. I can only type on the left hand side. Please help!

If this is newspaper columns, you will have to insert a column break
(Ctrl+Shift+Enter) to access the second column. On the other hand, if you
are trying to *balance* the columns, you should insert a continuous section
break at the end of the columnar text.

Use a two column table instead of Columns.
Columns is for contiguous text which allows text to "snake" from one column
(left) into the next (right) column as the text gets to the bottom of the
left column, like newspaper columns.
Using a table will allow you to add text whenever and where ever you wish.
One tip: insert a new row at least once evry two pages. Word tables are
flexible but a single cell that is very long (ie going across several pages)
can cause problems.

Hope this helps
