"because of the lack of brain cells to remember the instructions given to
them multiple times, sometimes even sticky notes don't stick"
Must have been a really good feeling to say what we are all thinking
sometimes! ;-)
What you can do is to creating a new shortcut to outlook.exe and append the
/cleanviews switch to it. This will reset all the views each time they start
Outlook. Be carefull not to deploy this shortcut to people with brain cells
and use customized views to be more effective or they might end up getting
very effective on you :-D

Let me be more specific. Viewing the Inbox folder, directly below the Inbox
title menu is the sort columns, ie (From, Subject, Received). These are the
columns that are in question. The reason why is because users have missed
important emails due to clicking on one of the columns like, "Size" for
instances. The user then closes Outlook in belief that the only new
messages
not read are not important because the sorting has always defaulted to be
sorted by date received. If there is a way to maybe reset it to sort by
received when the users close outlook and then open it back up, that would
be
fine. Even better would be to block the users from being able to sort the
columns because of the lack of brain cells to remember the instructions
given
to them multiple times, sometimes even sticky notes don't stick.
