Personal folder default column headings

(Outlook 2000) When I add a subfolder to my personal folder the FROM column
is missing. I can manaully add the column using Customize Current View, etc.,
but I'd like FROM to automatically appear in new subfolders.

I checked the original folder and it turns out it did not have a FROM
column. I added the FROM column, closed and reopened Outlook, then added a
new subfolder to the Personal Folder. The new folder didn't have a FROM
column. Are any subfolders doomed to follow this pattern?
