Colour on screen looks different when printed

When I create documents in any application the colour I see on my screen is
completly different to what actually prints.!

The printed documents colour look different from each printer as well!
I have two printers: HP 6110 inkjet & a HP2600n colour laser

It is down to the limitations of 'home' printers not being able to emulate
the colors produced by the technology available in displays.. you might find
that printing on glossy surfaces is better..

Even when you look at commercially printed material, there is usually a
disclaimer re. color reproduction..
