Colour matching

S

Sam

I have a deskjet 3820, and the printout with my XPhome
computer does not match the screen colour. It does
perfect printouts from the windows 98 computer.
I have downloaded the latest driver.
Any help please would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sam

Getting colors to 'match' is not just a matter of the printer and the
monitor. You have to include the graphics card, the program that has
created the images and the biggest component of all, the human eye.

First thing to do is check your color ink cartridges.... generic ones may be
the worst in this respect, rarely does their ink match the genuine
manufacturer's exact tint.

Check the monitor settings as well. And the type of paper you have in the
printer and the settings of the printer....

Finally, accept the fact that it is almost impossible to match exactly what
your eyes see to what actually appears on the screen. There are too many
variables in between!
