Yes. The printers were two different printers. The second one was a brand new
Dell and the first was a HP that had just been refilled. I thought maybe
something on the computer was causing it.
My printer no longer prints with black ink. I am on my second new cartridge,
and switched from a generic back to HP brand. I have tried shutting down the
printer and restarting.
Run a cleaning and maintenance cycle as per the printer manual's
instructions.

Dell will do almost anything to avoid having to take back a computer within
the grace period. After that -- look out!
(Unless you are a corporate customer, then they tend to be a little more
accommodating!)
