Coloring Bullets & page format

M

Mark Flynn

QUESTION 1: My page background color is blue and the bullets are black.
This combination makes the bullets hard to see. How
do I change the color of the bullets?
QUESTION 2: In the cell that contains the bulleted text, I separated each
text section with a carriage return. Selected all the text sections that I
wanted bulleted and applied the Plain round Bullets. The result on the
Design page was nice single spaced bulleted remarks. BUT in the Preview
page the bullets are separated by double spaces. How do I keep the single
spacing?
Using FP2003

If they're just "regular" bullets and not coming from a FrontPage theme you
can style them with CSS besides just the color you can substitute images for
the bullets, adjust line spacing (without resorting to <br> tags) etc.
Here's a good link:

Bullet images are pretty strange. You are much better off using a custom
image as a <li> tag background with CSS.

pretty strange with cross browser support, or for like printer rendering,
etc?

I think it just gives more control to use a background on the <li>, eg you
can alter the distance between the bullet and the text.

I see. It's probably even more beneficial if using JavaScript to control
the element's properties too.
