Collision and Deferred on router for cluster

Luciano

I've an NLB cluster with two servers with two nic for server.
The first nic is 3Com 1000 Gbit fiber for Local Lan.
The second nic is Intel 100 Mbit ethernet for NLB service.
Virtual IP for cluster is 192.168.0.1. The network interface
card for NLB are connected to HUB. On the hub a router C3600 is connected
to permit to internet users to access my cluster. On this run an application
in terminal server; the current bandwidth is 600 Kbit/sec.
I've noticed that on the ethernet interface of the router there
are many collision and deferred 800 coll/min - 400 defer/min.
Sometimes users tell me that the response of application is very slow.
For server the users connected are 60.
It's normal fon NLB service this collision/deferred?

Thanks

Hi L.G.
When NLB is hooked to a hub before going to a switch its you need to
manuall set the MaskSourceMac registry key to 0. This will stop hiding of
the MAC address and alow for better preformance on any upstream switches.
