Collect Data via Email Question Length

I want to use the collect data via email functionality in access to gather
simple answers to survey questions. My problem is that the survey questions
are too lengthy (150 characters) and I can't get access to let me use the
question as the field name in my table or as the label to display in front of
the field in the email message.

Is there a way to get around this (infopath is not an option)?

Thanks

bwilk77,

Not sure what "...I can't get access to let me use the question as the field
name in my table or as the label..." means. Does that mean the field is set
for less then 150 characters? It fails on import? More information is
needed and would also help to know is this Access 2007, 2003?

Access 2007.

The collect data via email function uses the field name (column name) from
my table as the "question" for my survey. You also have the option to change
what is displayed in the email form based on a label that you can specify
during the wizard. The problem is that both are limited to 64 characters.

So if I want to send a survey with one question:
"How long does it take you to drive your car to the beach and back? (please
answer in hours)" [91 characters]

I would have to truncate my question to "How long does it take you to drive
your car to the beach and bac" or else I would get an error "The text is too
long to be edited".

Basically, I am trying to find a way to use this collect data functionality
to send a survey with questions that are longer than 64 characters.

Thanks,

bwilk77,

Yep I am afraid that is limit and has been the limit. I do not belive there
is a work around for that. If someone has thought of one perhaps they will
jump in.
