Collapsible Lists in FrontPage 2003

I created a collapsible list in Front Page and when I open the page on my machine the collapse works fine. However, when someone on another machine opens the same page, the page opens with the outline completely expanded. The person is running InternetExplorer 6.0 so why would the collapsible outline work for me and not for them?

Two possibilities are:

o The person on the other machine is viewing an
outdated version of your page. Ask the person to
click Ctrl+Refresh.

o The person on the other machine has configured IE
not to run browser-side scripts. Ask the person to
activate this feature.

How do you enable IE to run browser-side scripts? I've e-mailed the file to multiple people and nobody can get the collapse to work except for on my machine. Does IE default to run browser-side scripts or will everyone who views the page need to change their set-up?

Most likely, you e-mailed the HTML file but not the outline.js file
that contains the script code for expanding and collapsing the
outline.

E-mailing Web pages to other people is surprisingly difficult. In
addition to sending the .htm file, you must either

o Attach every picture, script, and other file that the page uses
(and adjust URLs in the Web page to look for those files in the
"current" folder), or
o Use an absolute URL (http://www.yoursite.com/...) to specify the
location of each picture, script, or other support file. Of course,
those absolute locations must be accessible to whoever reads the
page,
and the necessary files must actually be there.

In practice, it's usually much easier to publish the page to a public
Web server, and send only the URL in the e-mail.
