Not sure what you are asking. A report is something you print on a piece of
paper. The objects associated with a report are typically designed for that
purpose. It is very rare to place a button on a report.
You could build a form to allow you to see more or less detail at the click
of a button, but you'd have to define that and code the button.
I was thinking about using a collapse expand button for the purpose of hiding
records that support the main record for users that only want to see the main
record without the details before they print. I understand what you're
saying. The form idea sounds more reasonable. Thanks for the advice.
