Coexistence of zip programs

Can 7-zip and jZip coexist on Vista H/P SP2, 32 bit?
jZip contains an uninstall feature.
What would happen to existing status if I did uninstall?
7-zip opens files which jZip can't, meaning it is more versatile.
Any suggestions gladly welcomed,

Harry.

I'm confused...

You could try installing both. That would answer your question.

If you're feeling insecure make a restore point first.
jZip contains an uninstall feature.

That strikes me as not in any way unusual.

Huh? I have no idea what you mean.
7-zip opens files which jZip can't, meaning it is more versatile.

Do you need the files 7-zip handles? Does jZip handle anything that 7-zip
can't?
Any suggestions gladly welcomed,

Use the one you like better. Or both...

I just stayed with what Windows offered (XP and Vista, both) until I needed
to expand something that Windows couldn't. I downloaded 7-zip & expanded
what I needed. I left 7-zip installed, but I just use Windows for the usual
files.

Thank you for the enlightenment, Gene and don't worry about the 'Huh'. I'll
be able to take it from here and use both.
Much obliged,

Harry.

I suspect you'll be doing fine :)

I was a bit annoyed at my post - I see that interspersing one-line remarks
in between one-line quotes produced a hard-to-read result. I'll do better
next time (I hope!).
