The codec downloading is automatic if you are connected to the internet when
a codec is needed. You can also download the full pack of Windows Media 9
codecs if you want (see the Setup > Software page of my site for a link).
But it'll only get codecs that are available from Microsoft... if you need
something like an MPEG2 or Divx one, you'll need to get it from someplace
else.....
