In my device manager under the SCSI and Raid controllers
section, the SCSI/RAID Host Controller has a yellow
exclamation mark and the code 31 says: this device is not
working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers
required for this device.
I was running Windows 98. Had that totally removed from
my system. Did a clean install of W2K Pro, and that is
when this code 31 appeared.

Help??

What brand/model of SCSI controller is it? If it doesn't
give you any indication while the machine is booting you'll
need to remove the card and look at it.

What Rick stated plus...

Obtain the latest manufacturer's Win2K drivers.
