Closing Outlook 2003

Martin Racette

Hi,

I'm having a weird problem every time I close Outlook 2003, I get a dialog box
asking if I want to save "normal.dot", and then even if I click Cancel the only
way to close Outlook is to use the TASK MANAGER and use the "terminate process"

I would like to know what to do to fix this

BTW. this happen on both of my computers

Thank you in Advance

You have an addin, possibly from adobe, that changes the normal.dot. Either
disable word as your editor, or click yes or no. When you choose cancel, you
cancel the close process and outlook stops unloading.

To prevent the dialog, either remove the template or addin causing the
problem or configure word to always save the normal.dot.

YOu can use the code sample at
http://www.outlookcode.com/codedetail.aspx?id=376 to generate a report of
what add-ins are installed in the registry.
