Closing for no reason

The Shape

I've used Movie Maker 2.0 for a few months now without
problems. Then, recently, I tried using the fade in
option on a video and the program closed abruptly. I've
tried re-installing but the same thing happens. It also
happens when I am trying to add a title to a movie. When
I am done typing the title, it should appear in the
preview window, but instead the program just shuts off.
Any ideas?
 
You probably added a codec since then that MM2 doesn't get along with. See
the Problem Solving... Acceleration and Codecs page of www.papajohn.org
