Closing email

When I close my email, my Outlook totally, and automatically closes. Why?

How are you closing your email (are you clicking on the X or going to
File->Close? If you are going to File->Close, does it says Close or Exit)?
Did you print the email before closing Outlook or do anything else with the
email?
What version of Outlook are you using?
Did this just start happening, or has it been ongoing since you installed
Outlook?

When I close my email, my Outlook totally, and automatically closes.
Why?

What I suspect is that you're using Outlook 2003 and when you click the
Minimize button, Outlook is being minimized to your System Tray. It's not
closing. If you want to see Outlook in the Task Bar, right-click the
Outlook icon in the Notification Area if the System tray and uncheck Hide
when Minimized.

Personally, I wouldn't bother, though. I like it in the System Tray and no
on the Task Bar.
