Clips - Drag em all to timeline?

G

Gene

Hello all,

I'm a first time MM2 user and I captured a VHS tape into MM2 and selected
the feature of making individual clips when capture was finished. I have
over 300 clips and now I see that ALL the clips must be dragged to the time
line to make the movie. That is going to take quite a bit of time to do and
hopefully I will not mix the clips up. The reason I surmise this is that I
see the first clip is the whole movie when dragged to the time line BUT not
when saved and reloaded and played again.

Questions: 1) should I have NOT broken down the movie into these clips as
all I want is one straight movie - no editing, transitions, etc.?
2) can I reverse the problem?

Thanks for any info.

Seems like, yes, you should have unchecked the option on the capture/import
window to have Movie Maker automatically create the clips..... and the
importing would go a lot quicker too if it doesn't have to look for points
to split them at.

Maybe the quickest thing to do is delete the collection in Movie Maker and
import it again, with the option unchecked. But you can use the option to
combine the clips.... select all of them in the collection (Control-A), then
a right mouse click to the 'Combine' option.
