Client's laptop shuts down when she tries to modify any table in Word 2003

She has XP Pro SP2 and Office 2003. She says just clicking in a table
cell can cause her pc to turn off - she can look at tables all day,
just can't modify any without shutting down.

I have tried running a full Norton virus scan (removed browser hijacker
Trojan.Qhosts), a full uninstall and reinstall of Office, removing all
spyware (SpyBot) and using Process Explorer to ensure nothing untoward
was running.

Any suggestions and thanks in advance!

G'day "(e-mail address removed)" <[email protected]>,

Get her to save a troublesome document as xml, close word, re-open the
xml doc and save it as a .doc. Hopefullyy the table edit problem will
go away. If it did, it is document corruption caused by legacy
documents shuffling between versions.
