Client computer keeps attempting to connect to internet

I have tried to find what program could be trying to
access internet and switched off task scrduler etc bu
nothing seems to stop it apart from turning client off.
any suggestions please
 
What you can do is try msconfig from Start->Run, mark
Selective startup and uncheck load group of startup items.
